Scouting Factor is the ninth episode in the first season of StarCrafts.
Plot[]
The factory lift-offs from the terran base and scouts at the protoss base. It floats near the nexus and over the probes gathering minerals. Three stalkers engage a laser attack (for the first time in the series) and the factory backs off slowly. A stalker throws a rock, causing the factory to crash upon the probes, and explodes. He sneaks away from the trouble.

- This is the third shortest non-zeroth episode in season 1 and in the series in its entirety. First is "Probelem" and second is "Supply Block".

- Sometimes when wanting to play rough or just joking around, terran players use their lift off ability on barracks or factories to land on enemy bases and train units to harass them.
- This episode explains as terran buildings are commonly used to scout different areas including enemy bases.
- Also, a terran building being destroyed on midair and sustaining damage on ground units overhead is explained on this episode.
