GG No Re is the seventh episode in the seventh season of StarCrafts. It is the one-hundred thirty-ninth episode overall. It is the final episode of StarCrafts series.
Short Summary[]
The Alliance fights back with Medivac Pilot's backup units from the past. Bob the Ragelot is revived inside the immortal and the Medic heals him to become full-time zealot who then hunts for the betrayed executor. Sgt. Patches tries to escape the red mothership to join the battle, and frees Patchling from the cage, but instead he meets with Bob to work together in the battle against red units. Derpfestor arrives with cyclones to finish off the Alliance buildings, but Crackhead returns with spine crawler as last structure.
The executor electrocutes both Bob and Patches while Patchling falls to the battlefield. Bob gains upperhand and throws the traitor to the bottomless pit, and he finally settles their differences with Sgt. Patches as part of Alliance. He uses the mothership to recall all but Derpfestor's Red Army to another area. Derpfestor flees back to his lair.
Medic rescues the spine crawler from being gnarled by red zerglings. They are assisted by Ramboseer who recently morphed from overlord and sentry to defend against Red Team until they meet their doom to save the Medic and the crawler. Crackhead, Reaper and Patchling enter the hive to hunt down Derpfestor but are surprised by swarm of infested terrans until they all timed out. Sgt. Patches face against Derpfestor but the latter captures him to threaten Medic, and the largest egg hatched to release Derpfestor II. Patchling frees Patches and he dodges around two Derpfestors' tentacle attacks until they penetrate on each other, frozen in place.
Crackhead lures the remaining swarm of red units to their main base while the rest of the Alliance flee on Medic Marauder's medivac dropship. Patches try to extract his best friend in peril but to no avail. Crackhead is shown to have been targeted by ghost's nuclear strike as all of red army are snared in the midst of it. Patches is painfully shocked by Crackhead's sacrifice and thus ultimately vaporized by nuclear explosion, taking the entire Red Team with him. Patches weep in melancholy by the loss of his childhood friend, comforted by reaper, Medic and SCV. Bob the Ragelot survives the ship's wreckage, thanking the Alliance for their help.
The three races settle with peace as the tyranny of the Red Team has ended. The zerg return to their queen, Sarah Kerrigan. Patchling hugs her as her most beloved pet. Bob the Ragelot returns to the former terran base, being united by his probe squad. Even if they are peniless and stranded on the planet, the probes hug their zealot who is more important than what they have left. Years later, Patches and Medic married and have a child, mourning on Crackhead's grave to honor his life for the Alliance.
Plot[]
The Beginning of the End[]
Previous episodes of Season 7 have been replayed to recap the important events that lead to the present when Red Team has overwhelmed the teal protoss, blue terran and purple zerg.
The episode starts with the scene back on space platform from fifth season, whilst the space debris and damaged structures floating around the region on the destroyed platform, including the lone nydus worm spilling out zerg units around like a galaxy. Then, the camera reveals the ghost and the dark templar (uncloaked) continuing their fight since the finale of fifth season. As the ghost uses snipe shot, it misses the target. Instead it pierces through the command center. The building explodes, causing the debris to push out of the blast. It also causes the duo standing on the platform to push towards the atmosphere, experiencing the burning fall through the sky. The space debris rain down like meteors onto the war zone where Red Team is charging towards the remaining Alliance.
Miracle from the Past[]
After the reaper made the scream since the previous episode, the Red Team has been burst out of existence by the barrier that protects the survivors. Puzzled reaper, sentry and hydralisk look at each other until the activated warp gates of their own warped in new units and the dark shrine is zoomed in, indicating that multitudes of dark templars had arrived. The source of production of dark templars comes from the massive turning point: Sgt. Patches has hacked into the mothership's computer to transfer stolen briefcase of countless minerals from the betrayed executor toward the Alliance Protoss Team which allows them to recruit strong reinforcements. He cheers by his successful thievery. However, the supportive conveyance is cut short when Donut Marine shoots at Patches, allowing the bullets to destroy the hacked computer. Sgt. Patches dodges and retreats to the counters.
Meanwhile, time rift suddenly opens behind the reaper, sentry, and hydralisk during the onslaught. Surprisingly, science vessel, medivac dropship, and arbiter appear from the portal--among which are belong to the past. Medivac Pilot and her SCV friend masterminded the backup using her time-traveling plan. She presses the button to unload the units: orange firebats, pink defiler and suicidal infested terran, green dark archon and reaver, as they all joined the Alliance. Arbiter casts recall to teleport the same units, boosting their quantity further. The reaper, overjoyed by miraculous assistance, fires up his weapons and dashes into action, with the Alliance units following him. Reaver spits out scarab bombs to detonate on marching Red Team. Defiler splashes them a plague ability, which causes them to reduce their health down to one. The lone purple zergling, unborrowed from the ground, bites the affected thor to tear it into pieces. Science vessel casts irradiate on red ultralisk, causing it to feel regurgitating and panic, the irradiating aura killing nearby red units along its way. One of the infested terrans of Alliance pounce on the squadron of Red Team, exploding himself with massive splash damage.
Back on the red mothership, Donut Marine presses the red button to shut off emergency doors. Evading from gunshots, Patches quickly runs and slides into the door before it is closed. The fat marine wheezes in exhaustion due to his obesity but continues the hot pursuit. Along the way, Patches discovers caged Patchling and rescues the excited zergling.
Return of the Zealot[]
However, red orbital command uses scanner sweep, detecting all dark templars of Alliance dangerously. The templars have been eradicated upon discovery. Firebats burn down the swarm of red zerglings but they are knocked off by red ultralisk unburrowed from the ground near them. Medivac dropship is shot down by missiles, crashlanded on the battlefield, and Medivac Pilot goes to medic mode. Defiler produces dark swarm to protect the units from any amount of damage. In the midst of orange mist, one of the probes mourning on Bob the Ragelot's grave, unsure what to do, finds an unmanned immortal unit and quickly thinks about something.
The red ultralisk pounces on the Medic to devour, until it is knocked away by immortal's phase disruptors. It is revealed that Bob the Ragelot has revived as an immortal pilot, although his body is still incomplete. The probe responsible for his return claps. Bob dashes into revenge by punching the red thor, along with allying hydralisk and roach beside him against red stalkers.
The red terran army of marines marauders and shoots at their foes, and Ramboverlord fires back as he shields himself from bullets. As Bob in immortal mecha continues firing heavy weapon at incoming enemies, three orbs of purification nova from the red disruptors hit him, his immortal's parts disassembled. He looks at the Medic, bubbling to speak at her as he is begging to be fully restored from near-death experience. Regaining her trust, she heals the immortal's pilot, allowing Bob the Ragelot to become full-time zealot once again. Bob catches a deep breath as he is angered by the Red Team's overwhelming power and dominance since his experience with them. He bursts an uproar and charges into the enemies singlehandedly, by ripping the red thor apart in unique slashes, mounting on the red ultralisk to ram against red colossus to knock it off so that he can finish the tall walker off. He then climbs on the thrown broodlings like stairs to hurt the red brood lord. He catches a ride on red interceptor which flies back to its carrier so that he can blow the ship off. The ship collides with red battlecruiser upon its destruction. The crew of the mothership is surprised to see their battlecruiser heading towards them with bellowing Bob riding on it. He comes on board the damaged mothership.
Overlord's Metamorphosis[]
In the middle of the orange fog, Rambolord continues to shoot, dodging the fallen viking overhead. Goliaths and dragoons of Alliance walk and fire aimlessly due to their fog's lack of visibility. Reaver, unloading scarab bombs, gets swarmed by red marines when it cannot escape due to its extremely slow movement. The red viper casts blinding cloud, this green fog mixing with orange dark swarm. Medic and reaper flee from the cloud as more red army steps in. When a missile is fired at Ramboverlord, the overlord mutates into a cocoon and becomes an overseer, known as "Ramboseer." Pack of purple zerglings morph into banelings to melt the red units down when they are unable to escape due to the overseer's changeling wall blockade tactic. He notices red ghost firing a nuclear strike. He contaminates the red ghost academy, jamming its nuclear missile and detonates an enormous blast on the red expansion base.
Inside the red mothership, Bob vexedly runs into the red crew, scaring them away. Even they block the sealed door, he bursts into the room. He has plans to find and retribute the betrayed executor he is hunting for. Even if they are many, the red units march away from him.
Back on the battlefield, the valkyrie fires a lot of cluster rockets at red mutalisks. Dark archon mind controls the red siege tanks to teal, turning against their former side. He even touches the red immortal to become teal, turning it around to the red side. Science vessel unleashes an EMP shockwave missile to detonate over Laughing Viper and regiment of red stalkers, rendering them powerless.
Crackhead (an animation error since Crackhead had been fallen into the chasm) Medic, reaper hydralisk, sentry, while busy defending themselves, notice that something is approaching, even Ramoverseer and dark archon are gaining attention on something.
Red Revolution[]
Thomas the Tank Engine theme is played while Derpfestor and his dangerous battalion of cyclones come from the horizon. This frightens the alliance. The cyclones fire typhoon blasters rapidly, killing off the StarCraft-era units.
Back inside the mothership, Sgt. Patches and Patchling stumble upon Bob the Ragelot. Bob grabs onto Patches's suit and threatens him until he notices the red units facing at the trio. They bravely face off the surrounding foes, and they combine their abilities by Bob spinning the blue marine around the circles to shoot at the enemies more. He throws him at the disruptor, putting it into pieces. Patchling with his vastly improved speed pounces and runs into the opponents like a lightning. With the use of gauss rifle, psi blade and adrenal glands, the trio are able to counter them with teamwork. Sgt. Patches hangs on the ceiling fan and shoot in circles again. While Patchling dodges the ranged units, the red siege tank drifts and knocks them out of the mothership, and Patchling fall towards the ground. In siege mode, the tank blasts the blue marine out of the fan. Bob charges and kicks the tank out as well.
Patches gives him a hand as a sign of gratitude and helpfulness, and Bob holds it. However, he only replies by pinning him to the floor and stomp on him, signifying that he still holds the grudge upon his first archenemy. The marine shields himself in fetal position as he is hurt, trying to reach his rifle out of reach for self-defense.
Suddenly, the red lightning forces the zealot away. It is discovered that the traitorous Obnoxious Executor is the high templar himself. At long last, Bob has found his target and charges at the executor until the latter zaps him away again and electrocutes him, the zealot suffering pain.
The alliance probe, on the other hand, notices the list of alliance's structures count decreasing: zerg hive clusters have been zeroed, and so as terran base, but their protoss structures are counted below five compared to Red Team's ninty-nine count. The Alliance are dread-scared by the fact that their structures, vital to their existence, are destroyed down to one. The Alliance reaper speeds up, hopelessly trying to save their last structure.
While the red executor zaps Bob, he is getting shot by Sgt. Patches. Angered by intervention, the executor casts a psionic lighning at him. He goes near the weakened marine and forced-lightning him to death. Downed Bob gains conscious but is still too weak to recover himself. Bob finally awakens and grabs the executor up and throws him to the deep chasm of the station. The executor falls to death. The zealot drops himself on the floor as he still feels debile.
The Real Last Structure[]
The last Alliance structure, molded gateway, is destroyed and the reaper falls flat. Derpfestor in the midst of cheering cyclone looks around to check for his victory, but the Alliance heroes are still alive. By all sudden, the zerg's structure count is counted from zero to one! The heroes find that their very last structure, the spine crawler, has crawled up to the battlefield and Crackhead is riding on it. The crawler catches the breath as Crackhead cocks his rifle to ready for payback.
Sgt. Patches breathes hard for air as he is recovering from shock. Bob gives him a hand using his psi blade, finally thanking him and the Alliance for defeating the betrayed executor as part of his mission as the zealot of Conclave. He helps the marine get up. Patches look out of the hollow room in order return to the battle, but he looks back to see his newfound friend Bob. The zealot nods and the former gestures a thumbs-up remark before he drops himself into the air. Bob finds a briefcase, hoping if it still has stolen minerals inside it.
On the battlefield, rain of space debris fall down onto the battlefield, harming the Alliance but killing some of the red team units upon impact. The ghost is shown falling down until he opens the parachute to come down slower. On the ground, he is then chased away by a red cyclone firing rockets at him locked-on. More debris fall down, landing on bigger red units, one of which is a broken command center upon the red ultralisk. Explosion on Red Team occurs, but the heroes see Derpfestor now on the ground as he prepares to battle with his neural parasite.
Bob obtains the briefcase. He sees the screen that scans the battlefield when Red Team is still in large numbers compared to the very few of Alliance team.
Derpfestor swiftly uses his tentacle to poke at either Medic, Crackhead or the reaper. The reaper is focused on as the tentacle attempts to capture him dodging his attack. But as he rockets away, the tentacle catches him and swings him around the ground. Patchling lands on Medic who then heals him quickly before the zergling would die from the hit. The red infestor abducts a battlecruiser and controls it to fire lasers around. The dark archon who had owned that battlecruiser goes near it, but Derpfestor hammers him out of existence and he spits raspberries, playing with the ship. He then casts tactical jump to teleport from the cause and then reappears in front of the Alliance heroes.
Being knocked apart from each other, the Alliance sees that Derpfestor still has multitudes of Red Team, seemingly hopeless as they are overwhelmed. Bob the Ragelot on the mothership now under his control sees the reminder of his team and presses the red "Recall" button, teleporting all of red units but Derpfestor out of the battlefield to another place. The infestor is surprised by being alone in the battle. Cheered as the savior, Bob gets shot by Donut Marine behind him, who seriously drops his donut and prepares his rifle. Derpfestor alone forces the reaper around, hitting the Medic who's healing the reaper. As he throws the reaper away, Patchling pounces and bites his former comrade around the body. Having dealt damage by numerous bites and failing to capture the zergling dodging his tentacle attack, he mind-controls the Medic and heals himself. He crawls away from Crackhead and Patchling's attacks. He burrows and moves underground back to his hive. Crackhead, Medic, Patchling and the reaper go after him. Medic stops because she finds their spine crawler under attack by red zerglings. She gets rid of them and heals the zerg structure since it's still their last structure.
The Infestor's Hive[]
However, the Red Team units return, having recalled to another place, and they are focusing on tearing the Alliance's spine crawler apart, aside from attacking the Medic. Then the sentry casts force shield at the bridge to block their entry, with Ramboseer behind him. The Medic uses heal on the overseer who fires the rifle at the swarm of Red Team while the sentry continuously casts shields each time they deplete.
The sentry is hit and destroyed, breaching the blockage. Ramboseer takes so many bullet shots from the enemy as Medic still heals him. Unfortunately, her healing gadget's energy is entirely depleted, and the vulnerable overseer gets bombed by another missile.
Exhausted Ramboseer wants the Medic to retreat, but she doesn't want to leave him. Crying by her zerg friend's fate, she decides to leave. The overseer reaches his rifle to fire the last shots at incoming red battalion to the end.
The Alliance ghost, still chased by a crazed red cyclone, is saved when the blue ghost academy lands on it—now the second to the last structure for Alliance. The ghost looks at the structure and ponders what to do with it.
Inside the red hive, Crackhead, Patchling and the reaper discover new eggs around the hive, and a largest but mysterious egg. Derpfestor appears dark on the higher ledge. The eggs hatch to release the swarm of infested terran, and Crackhead and the reaper shoot them back. Some of the infested terran turn to Patchling leaping and jumping around the eggs, their bullets hitting the egg every time he dodges. Reaper throws them a grenade. Later, the infested terran checks his watch beeping. The beep means they have timed out and they burst into a goo. With good luck, the reaper throws another grenade at Derpfestor to fall from the ledge. The infestor quickly uses his tentacle and stick it on the ceiling to swing around the room, knocking the reaper back. He spits fungal growth at Crackhead, rendering him motionless.
Sgt. Patches steps into the picture, and Crackhead smiles. Derpfestor however is maddened by his archnemesis's appearance. Patches fires his gauss rifle and evades the infestor's attack. After the fungal growth is eroded, freed Crackhead joins the gunfight at their common foe behind the enormous egg. To defend himself—again—Derpfestor uses a neural parasite on Crackhead, causing him to turn against his friend Sgt. Patches with redirected shots. He throws Crackhead out of the hive as he doesn't need him anymore. He abducts the fainted reaper and uses him to strike on his mortal enemy.
Weeping Medic approaches and Crackhead points at Patches under attack. Medic enters the hive to help her beloved marine. Seeing the massive army of red units, Crackhead whistles at them so they can chase him out of the hive's area. Derpfestor stops hitting on Patches as the Medic stands and taunts in front of the menace. The infestor simply throws the reaper at her and then captures Patches, causing the victim to prepare his gun and aim at the Medic. Meanwhile, Crackhead keeps running as the Red Team battalion continuously chases him until they enter the Red Team's base. The scene cuts back to Derpfestor's hive. The Medic steps back as the egg hatches, revealing a new Derpfestor. The medic is terrified as the mind-controlled Sgt. Patches aims at the Medic. All hope seems lost until Patchling steps into the picture, freeing Sgt. Patches from Derpfestor's tentacle control. The two infestors are confused as they try to use neural parasite upon Patchling, who is casually licking himself. During the attempt, the heroic zergling dodges every move that both Derpfestors are trying to capture. Because Patchling was so fast thanks to his metabolic boost upgrade, their eyes can't catch up, making them dizzy. Just as they are about to stab Patchling, they inject on each other! The Medic reunites with Sgt. Patches as they have recovered. The Alliance looks at two Derpfestors frozen in place due to contradicted mind-control effects.
Friend's Sacrifice[]
The scene switches to Crackhead's pursuit as he tries to divert the massive army of Red Team to a different location. Sgt. Patches, the Medic, the reaper, and Patchling board the medivac dropship operated by Medic Marauder and the protoss adept. Meanwhile, Crackhead continues to run away from Red Team chase. He uses the stimpack to run faster from the countless enemies coming closer to him. Back to the medivac as the ship hovers near the Red Team's base, Patches becomes alarmed as the passengers and crew saw Crackhead in danger. They attempt to reach the base but they're getting bombarded by red missile turrets defense, causing them not to approach any further. The Red Team marches into a circle around Crackhead, trapping him within them. Desperately, Crackhead uses his stimpack for a final time, with his health in danger level, and runs faster again. However, even though he sprints fast, he has run out of breath and he collapses. He tries to crawl instead, but he has lost his chance to escape. The Red Team finally surrounds Crackhead. Desperate to save his close friend, Sgt. Patches jumps out of the medivac, but before he could fall down, the Medic and the reaper quickly grab him, not letting him risk his life to rescue Crackhead.
The stalker reaches out on Crackhead and turns him over. It is revealed that a hidden red dot appears below him, in which Crackhead smiles. The Red Team units are surprised in horror that the red dot is actually the target for the Alliance's nuclear strike. As they look up, a nuclear missile is falling from the sky. The scene shortly switches to the Alliance ghost on his position, aiming the red dot, since it is the only chance to win the game. Sgt. Patches is horrified at this tactic, saddened that the nuclear strike has already called down. As Bob the Ragelot is about to be executed in the red mothership, the surprised look again makes him witness the nuclear attack, along with Donut Marine. With the exception of a red Hydralisk waving at the viewers happily, the Red Team screams in tragedy. As the nuclear missile is about to land, Crackhead gives a thumbs up to his lifelong partner Patches, signifying that he has made an ultimate sacrifice. Series of flashbacks from previous StarCrafts episodes highlight Crackhead and Sgt. Patches' adventures together. In the end, the nuclear missile explodes upon its impact, vaporizing the Red Team and its main base. The scene goes into slow motion as Crackhead fades away within the explosion.
The ghost, even the dark templar whom he had been fighting back on the destroyed space platform, stares at the explosion, disheartened by Crackhead's fate. Sgt. Patches is incredibly grieved over his close friend's death as medivac flies away to safety. He strongly knocks on the medivac's door, refusing to accept the death. He then hugs the Medic who sympathizes him. Even the reaper and the SCV cry over their sergeant's loss.
Meanwhile, miraculously survived from the mothership's destruction during the nuclear attack, Bob the Ragelot resurfaces from the debris. He looks at the fleeing medivac. Knowing that his vengeance has served his own purpose well as a zealot, he salutes at the Alliance, expressing gratitude. He states his respectful quote: "En taro!"
Liberation and Disbandment[]
The teal protoss, the blue terran, and the purple zerg, as the three-way Alliance, agree to settle their differences and continue with peace as the domination of Red Team has come to its end. They are disbanded in order to return to their normal lives.
The scene fades to a house owned by Sarah Kerrigan sweeping her porch. She hears the zerg noises. She looks in the distance as her zerg underlings return. She then runs to her zerg swarm as a reunion after a long time away from her, greeting the drone, roaches, hydralisks, and ultralisks with warm hugs. Realizing that someone most special is missing from the group, she looks around for Patchling and she tears out, thinking that Patchling is not coming, but he does. She hugs nearly-injured Patchling around and deeply embraces him. Patchling coughs out the patch one final time, purring with Kerrigan.
To protoss, war-stricken, badly-bruised Bob returns to the terran base where he was "supply blocked". He steps on the lowered supply depot and looks around the destroyed base. The probes catch up with the zealot. Bob brings them the suitcase of stolen minerals and a probe accepts it. As they open the suitcase, they realize it is nothing but cobwebs and eaten junk. Bob is depressed by his final misfortune, but the probes instead hug him, since the most important of all is that their zealot is alive. Bob feels glad by their sympathy.
Seven years later, Patches and the Medic have married and born a new baby, even outfitted with a marine suit. They visit the grassy area where they have rooted a cracked R.I.P gravestone, indicating Crackhead's memorial. Patches gives a thumbs up to his best friend as a reminiscence of them working together. The baby marine is let loose from the Medic's hand and runs around the field. Unfortunately, he fell to the ground. His parents are astonished and they go after him. As they get their child up, they notice a crack on the baby's visor, which is a commemoration of Crackhead, and they hug him. The family walks away to somewhere.
The camera pans to the cracked gravestone. A slogan engraved underneath the R.I.P inscription says: "Best Friend".
The End
Epilogue[]
After the credits, a final scene from the Season 6 episode "StarCraft 20th Anniversary" is showcased. The camera zooms to the framed picture of the cracked gravestone behind Patchling, evidencing the foreshadow at the viewers that the story plot had been planned all along since that episode's debut.
