Jimmity & Alarak is the ninth episode in the fifth season of StarCrafts. It is the ninety-fourth episode overall.

Plot[]

Jim Raynor begins using a remote control to call down drop pods for marine reinforcements, even falling upon him. He and the marines recklessly attack the enormous earth pile blocking the mineral area. He spits raspberries while firing, and one marine faints in exhaustion. Meanwhile, Alarak spots purple zerg swarm led by a hybrid destroyer who conducts the locomotive. He then summons supplicants and engaged in the group battle.

One of the supplicants pounce on a hydralisk. Alarak throws more supplicants until it is piled up very high. He makes an evil laugh on top of the pillar. As the hybrid destroyer makes his train hit the pillar, it tips and crashes onto the train and zerg swarm.

Epilogue[]

Alarak uses remote control to operate the mothership (a death fleet summon) and obliterate the enemies. The purple zerg flee from the scene. Raynor shows up and uses a console game controller for Hyperion battlecruiser, colliding with the mothership and both ships crash onto the site with an explosion. Alarak feels disappointed while Raynor enjoys playing the game.

Characters[]

Trivia[]

  • This episode is based on one of the co-op missions of StarCraft II: Legacy of the Void.
  • Jim Raynor acts like Derpfestor due to having a hung tongue and acting as the infestor did in "A Hellion of a Harass."
  • This is the second appearance of blocked mineral field since "Nucleared."
  • This is the first of co-op mission-based episodes in the series without using red terran (or at least Red Team) army.
  • Ending background music is reused from Season 2 episode, "Oracle OraKILL."

In-game References[]

  • Supplicants colliding on hydralisk and being thrown by Alarak until they are piled up is a reference to their poor attack rate against enemies, thus they sacrifice themselves for Alarak.
  • Alarak destroying an entire train with his massive pile of supplicants may be a reference to his "Empower Me" ultimate ability, where he gains strength based on how many allied units are nearby.
  • Alarak laughing like an evil person is a reference to Tal'darim's traits of being evil in StarCraft II lore.

Cultural references[]

  • Hybrid Destroyer rides a derpy train based on Thomas & Friends.
  • Alarak laughing on the pile of corpses may be a reference to Tidus' laughing scene in Final Fantasy X.
