Proxy Zealot, or Proxylot, was a minor character and one of the antagonists in StarCrafts as he was part of the Red Team.

History

In "Proxologist," Proxy Zealot spawns out of a proxy Gateway, ready to give his life for Aiur. Unfortunately for him, he spawned on the wrong side of the Gateway, facing a cliff, while the Gateway blocked his way into the Teal Protoss base.

Throughout most of Season 3, Proxy Zealot can be spotted in the back of the Teal Protoss main base, still trapped behind the now-defunct Gateway.

In "Alliance" Part 1, Proxy Zealot is keeping himself entertained with a mobile gaming device when the Red army invades the Teal base through a recall, destroying the Gateway as a side effect. Freed, Proxy Zealot was now able to let loose his rage that had been suppressed for the entire season.

In the midst of the battle, Proxy Zealot and Bob the Ragelot engage in a heated duel. For most of their fight, the two seem evenly matched, but Proxy Zealot managed to catch Bob in a bladelock, and send him falling off a ledge with a headbutt, to be surrounded by Zerglings.

A High Templar intervened, saving Bob from the Zerglings with a Psionic Storm, before going off on his own to take down several Red Army Battlecruisers. Meanwhile, Proxy Zealot chased down a Blue Team Ghost. Having recovered, Bob tackled Proxy Zealot, and the two resumed their battle.

Proxy Zealot was pressing Bob towards a cliff's edge, when he left an opening in his defenses. Bob managed to get his psi-blade past Proxy Zealot's, impaling him, and tossing his corpse off the cliff.

Trivia

• Proxy Zealot's nickname is derived from "Proxy" term as a StarCraft tactic when a player builds either pylon/gateway, barracks or hatchery, depending on race he or she controls, near the opponent's main base or natural expansion and produces a combat unit. It is also an adjective term for the aforementioned structures (e.g.: "Proxy Pylon", "Proxy Barracks", "Proxy Hatch").
